Carmel Symphony Orchestra is proud to present two Indiana University Health Holidays concerts.
You’ll be filled with holiday spirit when two winners of The Great American Songbook Academy join the Carmel Symphony Orchestra (CSO) for Indiana University Health Holidays in two performances Saturday, December 9 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at The Palladium.
The vocalists, Carmel resident Julia Bonnett (2009 Songbook Academy) and Lebanon, Ind. native Lucas DeBard (2015 Songbook Academy), will perform familiar holiday music for the whole family including “We Need a Little Christmas,” “Where are You Christmas,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” and “All I Want for Christmas is You.” To celebrate these to young artists, the American Songbook Exhibit Gallery will be open from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
In addition, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus (Ken Knowles and Ann Conrad) in the East Lobby of The Palladium at 2:30 p.m. and during intermission of the afternoon performance.
“There’s something for everyone of all ages — our IU Health Holidays concerts are filled with a variety of audience favorites and traditional holiday music, including ‘Deck the Halls,’ ‘Frosty the Snowman’ and ‘Jingle Bells’ as well as the audience sing-along,” said Music Director Janna Hymes. “I am looking forward to being part of Carmel Symphony’s wonderful holiday tradition! I invite everyone to join in the fantastic history of sharing the wonder and joy of the season with these concerts, a truly great way to kick off the season with family and friends.”
The IU Health Holidays program is part of the CSO’s Family Series subscription, available through December 8.
