The Carmel Symphony Orchestra is proud to feature our Concertmaster, violinist Larry Shapiro in our season finale of this very special season. This globally recognized artist will play Bruch’s “Concerto No. 1 in G minor,” one of the most moving, romantic pieces in symphonic music.
Shapiro, a full-time professor of violin and artist-in-residence at Butler University, has served as the CSO Concertmaster since the 2005-2006 season. He has toured as a soloist with the American Ballet Theatre, served as Concertmaster for numerous orchestras including the New York Philharmonia, the Grand Teton Music Festival and the Columbus (Ohio) Symphony. He toured for several years with ballet legend Mikhail Baryshnikov as first violinist of the White Oak String Quartet.
