Alexa Lang
Violinist Alexa Lang is originally from Orlando, Florida. She recently completed her Bachelor of Music at Florida State University in Violin Performance under the tutelage of Corinne Stillwell. As an active orchestral musician, she has performed with many orchestras across the Southeast, including the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Panama City Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Gulf Coast orchestra, and Columbus (GA) Symphony Orchestra. She has had the opportunity to perform in other states and abroad by participating in the Brevard Music Festival and Vienna Summer Music Festival, as well as tour Europe and the U.S. with her pre-professional orchestra in high school. As a soloist and chamber musician, she was a finalist in the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition and was a Charleston International Music Competition winner in the College Quartet Division.
In addition to music, Lang is passionate about finance and entrepreneurship. While attending FSU, she completed a minor in Commercial Entrepreneurship and a Certificate of Music Entrepreneurship. She also worked in the College of Music Fiscal Office, where she enjoyed combining her passions of classical music and finance. She currently works in finance and international education as the Associate Financial Manager of the IU Office of Overseas Studies and performs as a section violinist with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra.
