Jan Brill
I began playing cello at age ten. My mom had played and influenced me to do the same. We have two adult children that both played cello and our daughter, a Carmel High School grad, still plays. Retired now from teaching, I gave private lessons for twenty years, worked with high school groups and summer music camps. I play with our church orchestra and am a member of the Dolce Trio. For several years I worked for a violin shop in Indianapolis visiting school orchestra directors. I began performing with the Carmel Symphony in 1975 and it has been a real treasure to have been with the orchestra from our humble beginning rehearsing and performing in schools and churches or wherever we could find a space to performing in the grandeur of the Palladium.
