Kathleen Moniaci enjoys a multi-faceted career in Indianapolis as a performer, teacher and repair womam.
She performs frequently throughout the greater Indianapolis area with the Carmel Symphony, Lafayette Symphony, Danville Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Anderson Symphony, Kokomo Symphony and the woodwind quintet, Impressaria Winds. Kathleen is also a founding member of the bassoon ensemble “Voices in the Wood” whose recordings can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other online platforms. “Voices in the Wood” is a collective of female/non-binary bassoonists from across the country with a love for music, the bassoon and life-long friendships.
In addition to being a performer, Kathleen is a bassoon repair woman. She attended the well-known Band Instrument Repair program in Red Wing, Minnesota and currently works for renowned bassoon restorative artist Paul Nordby. She also maintains her own repair business, Moniaci Woodwinds.
Kathleen also has a large private studio in the Indianapolis area, mostly in the Lawrence Township Schools.
When not playing/teaching/repairing Kathleen is a reef aquarium hobbyist and cat owner.
