Manami White
Manami White joins the Carmel Symphony Orchestra as Concertmaster at the start of the 2023-2024 season. Her past teachers include Dorothy DeLay and Naoko Tanaka. Manami received her Bachelor’s degree and continued graduate work at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She also serves as Concertmaster with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Cincinnati, and is Principal Second Violin of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra. Her solo performances include appearances with several ensembles, including the North Florida Symphony Orchestra, the Ohio Valley Symphony, and the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Manami has performed in series and festivals such as Summermusik, the Taft Chamber Music Series, the Contemporary Arts Center Chamber Music Series, the Knox Music Series and with Concert:Nova ensemble. In addition to performing, Manami is a member of the faculty at Xavier University and the Director of the Xavier University Chamber Orchestra.
